The World House Choir winds up April with a trio of concerts. We’d love to see you at any or all of them.
On Thursday April 26, 6:30 PM, the World House Choir will sing as part of Coretta Scott King’s annual, Yellow Springs legacy celebration in the South Gym of Antioch College’s Wellness Center. This year the guest speaker is Tamika D. Mallory, activist and national co-chair for the Women’s March. She is an advocate of gun control, feminism and the Black Lives Matter movement. Don’t miss this nationally recognized speaker at Antioch College.
On Saturday April 28, the World House Choir will sing at Harmony Creek Church at the conclusion of a national conference of progressive Allied Baptists. The service Earth: Beloved Community is at 5:30. Featured soloists include Christopher G. Smith and Jennifer Gilchrist.
On Sunday the World House Choir will celebrate five years of singing for peace and justice. Please come and celebrate with us [see flyer below]. The program will include favorites songs, with dynamic choir soloists: Christopher G. Smith and Jennifer Gilchrist. Hip Hop artist Issa Walker is slated to rap with the choir in a rousing piece called “March On”.
A short program will start at 3:00pm at the Foundry Theater on the Antioch College campus and will include lots congregational singing. There will be food and drink, conversation and community. Come Listen, Come Sing, Come Eat, Come Drink, Come Create Community Together.
