The World House Choir is accepting new singers on Monday, July 21. Choir rehearsals are held each Monday from 7-8:30 pm at the Foundry Theater [920 Corry St., Yellow Springs] on the campus of Antioch College.
All new singers are asked to arrive at 6:00pm on Monday July 21 for orientation and voice placement.
The World House Choir sings to uplift and inspire. We work to build community and unite singers and our audiences. We strive to sing music that connects us to issues of justice and peace. All voice parts are welcomed although we are especially looking for tenors.
This upcoming block of rehearsals is in preparation for our fall concert entitled, “Rebel With A Cause: Sincerely Yours, Pauli Murray.” This multi-part choral work draws on the life and words of activist, lawyer, poet, and Episcopal priest Pauli Murray. Through music, it honors Murray’s legacy of justice, identity, and resilience. Performances are scheduled for the weekend of November 7, 8 and 9.
