The World House Choir is teaming up again this year with local charitable and non-profit organizations for a Giving Tuesday campaign.
Your donation, combined with those from other Friends of the House keeps us singing and helps to bring our peace and justice work to a wider community.
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 when two organizations, the 92nd Street Y (NY City) and the United Nations Foundation came together to set aside a day that was all about celebrating the generosity of giving, a great American tradition. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
Charitable organizations encourage new and past donors to make online donations on this day. Since its inaugural year GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year.
