The World House Choir and our director, Dr. Catherine Roma, will receive the 2018 James A. McKee Founders Award for Outstanding Community Service. The McKee award recognizes organizations and individuals who promote charitable acts of community service.
According to McKee Association president, Karen McKee, the choir’s mission “to utilize music as a means to advance peace and justice in our community is a critically important linchpin in helping to bring the community of Yellow Springs and beyond closer to realizing Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream of a world where diversity is celebrated and whole healthy communities live together in peace.”
The award will be presented at a banquet on March 11 at the Mills Park Hotel in Yellow Springs.
