This year, as our community grapples with ongoing food-security needs, the Yellow Springs Community Foundation Board has taken an extraordinary step. For every donation made to a participating nonprofit on #YSGivingTuesday, the Foundation will make an equal contribution to the Food Security and Well-Being Fund.
That means your gift to WHC does double duty: it strengthens the choir and supports our neighbors facing food insecurity. The Foundation will acknowledge each nonprofit and the corresponding matched gift to the Food Security Fund.
On December 2, organizations around the world will unite for one purpose—to celebrate generosity and inspire giving. #GivingTuesday marks the start of the charitable season, when many people make their year-end gifts.
Here in Yellow Springs, more than fifty nonprofits have joined forces under the leadership of the Yellow Springs Community Foundation to create a vibrant local #YSGivingTuesday campaign. Held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it’s your chance to launch the holiday season with meaningful support for the organizations you care about most.
